E-Learning Week 1 (Task B)

Hello again, as I stated in the previous post, my 2 top scores for the multiples intelligence test was spatial and intrapersonal. For Task B, I will be designing a civil rights movement poster for Maycomb and explaining who I would want to be friends with in the novel. For the ‘spatial’ portion of Task B, I have chosen question a. As for the intrapersonal portion of Task B, I have chosen question d.

Firstly, if I were to make friends with a character in the novel, I would like to be friends with Atticus Finch. This is because of several reasons. Atticus Finch has many good character traits. By becoming his friend, I hope that I will be able to learn some of these traits and practice them in my life.

Atticus Finch’s good points include honesty, courage (he is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in), humility (doesn’t show off his talents like shooting), unprejudiced (treats everyone with equal respect), calm and composed, selfless, knowledgeable, caring among other traits. He is also a kind-hearted and friendly person.

I will befriend Atticus if I get the chance as he is good-hearted and willing to help you if you are in need of any help. Also, Atticus is easy to approach so he will be quite easy to befriend. Atticus has many traits that are good so becoming his friend will make me a better person as I will most likely learn from him.

Secondly, here’s the poster I’ve designed using Photoshop:

This poster was created using Adobe Photoshop CS4 using the images at the bottom of the post (direct links removed again sorry). The red symbolizes the peoples’ passion for freedom while the fist represents the desire for equality. Tom Robinson’s photo at the trial is meant to invoke feelings of anger as he was not treated fairly.
